| Mother-Daughter Network All women are not mothers but all women are daughters...
"Mothers of daughters are daughters of mothers and have remained so, in circles joined to circles, since time began. They are bound together by a shared destiny."
(Signe Hammer)
"Mother-Daughter Network" is a group of mothers to share our pride of our daughters, and to help support each other and nurture our relationships with our daughters. It also represents a group of daughters who love and adore their mothers. Who should join?
As we are mothers, let's be friends and meet in cyber space. Let's share our pride of our daughters. Let's exchange ideas regarding mothers-daughters. Let's help support each other and nurture our relationships with our daughters. Let's help preparing our little angles, little girls, girls, and teens to become women -- with their own identity and our pride. As we are daughters, let's be friends and meet in cyber space. Let's express and share our love to our mothers. We welcome you all to be part of this Mother-Daughter Network. Daughters (adults and children) of all ages are welcome. As a child, I grew up and hardly ever got sick. As a mother since Nong Mook was born almost 9 years ago, I told myself that I couldn't be sick either.
Last week, Nong Mook has been out of school for three days with a simple cold symptom. As a mother, I was always there next to her to provide her my best care. Her energy surely soon came back and she happily returned to school with all day activities. Vinnie and I also accompanied her to a field trip at the Pequot Museum in Connecticut last Friday. We also went to the Nutcracker by the Boston Ballet that evening. My sincere thanks are to P'Lec & Khun Kim for inviting us to such a wonderful show (and dinner prior to the show).
During the ballet show and on the way home, I felt very sick. In my half-asleep that night, I saw strangers surrounding me with one old friend who already passed away years ago. With Vinnie's hand touching on my forehead, I asked him (in my dream) how I would be able to say "good bye" to Nong Mook. Then I turned myself to those strangers and said, "Guess what! I can't die! It's not yet my time!" I then fell asleep til the rest of the night.
I was in bed all day Saturday. Vinnie was at work last weekend. Nong Mook called Grandma to take her out to the Burger King since her mom was really sick. Grandma came again on Sunday and took her out to lunch. This time she insisted to take me to the Emergency Room at the South County Hospital, and I was diagnosed with pneumonia.
I am now back to 90% recovery and feel, once again, a mother power. I look back to what has happened to me and what my immediate instinct reaction was. As a mother, the very first (and only) person that I thought off when knowing (or feeling) that I was going to die is "my child".
"Mom, I miss you and I love you very much," my heart goes to my mom in Thailand. I don't think there will be any other greater love than a love from a mother to her child(ren). I wish I lived a lot closer to my mom (and also my dad). Have you called your mom and told her that you love her?

ค่าน้ำนม
Kha Nam Nom (Value of Breast Milk)
Piano Solo - Kha Nam Nom |
| Kha Nam Nom (Value of Breast Milk) Translation by Forever-Joy.... Mothers have great kindness. A mother looks after her baby in a crib. A mother sings a lullaby To soothe her little baby to sleep. She never goes far away. Since young age, a mother cares. She loses weight with love to her child. From little 'til grown-up... It's because... The value of breast milk. To carefully think... Nothing compares to breast milk. Mother of mine, I am grateful. Your breast milk mixed with blood Becomes the milk for your child. The value of breast milk is As big as the sky, heavier than the earth. Since then 'til graduation, Even one drop of breast milk... We can never repay enough to Mothers' kindness. |
